Hurricanes and tropical storms, wildfires, and other climate-related threats have had devastating impacts on cities, towns, and counties, and all indications are that the effects of natural and man-made disasters will worsen in coming years. This brief describes ways that cities, towns, and counties can improve resilience in the face of climate-related threats, including for the lowest-income households who often experience the worst devastation in the wake of disasters.
