Join the Housing Solutions Lab for a free, forty-five-minute webinar, the tenth of our Data Talks series. This episode will focus on what we know about work requirements and time limits in the context of housing assistance, and how local housing authorities and their partners can analyze their data to understand the implications of these policies.

Claudia Aiken, Director of New Research Partnerships, and Ellie Lochhead, Doctoral Fellow at the Housing Solutions Lab and the NYU Furman Center, will co-host our session on Thursday, September 4, starting at 12:00 p.m. ET. The webinar will present findings from the Lab’s recent policy brief about work requirements and time limits in housing assistance, which has been featured in reporting on federal policy proposals in the Associated Press and other news outlets.
Joining us for a fireside chat are Nicole Beydler, Director of Policy and Communications at the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino (HACSB), and Will Fischer, Senior Fellow and Director of Housing Policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP). Ms. Beydler will share lessons from HACSB’s Term-Limited Lease Assistance Program, which gives participants a federal housing voucher for a period of five years. Mr. Fischer will speak to CBPP’s report estimating the number of people who might be affected if time limits are implemented across federal housing assistance programs.
Register below for Session 10 of Data Talks: Work Requirements and Time Limits in Federal Housing Assistance to join the live session, where you will be able to ask the panelists your questions.
In November 2023, the Lab launched a series of mini-webinars to tackle topics related to using local data to inform housing policy. Webinars are held on a Thursday from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. You can watch previous episodes of Data Talks here. And don’t forget to join our mailing list to stay in the loop about future events and new resources.
